Road Trip in (almost) 4 countries

When we got back to our apartment, our roomate Barbra thought we were nuts.  I guess it is just an American thing to do road trips.  We were 10km outside of Poland, we went to Czech Republic, through Germany, and into Austria in two days.  Here is a brief overview...backwards (the pictures downloaded goofy, and I dont have time to fix them)

On Monday night we went to Berchtesgaden, just north of the Austrian border, for the evening.  It was amazingly beautiful here at Koenigssee with super shear cliffs, and crystal clear lakes.  We have dreams of coming back and living here for a few years.  Maybe we'll just spend a few days here later while we are still in Europe.  We will see...
Monday during the day we went to Herrenchiemsee near Munchen.  This was the party room because at sunset the light would come through the windows on the right, and hit the mirrors on the left.  They had crystal chandaliers that would break up the lights into its colors.  Basically it make the whole room look like a club with hundreds of disco balls.  Rockin old school style.
Ba and I tried to be like the fountains at Herrenchiemsee.  I did a pretty good job while Ba choked on her own spiddle.  The gardens were beautiful, I sure do love that Ludwig II and his castle building frenzy.
On Sunday we went to church in Prague, Czech Republic.  Some in our foursome thought we would get mugged so I played a joke like our car had been stolen.  It was just down the street so no harm done.
On Saturday night a huge thunderstrom rolled in at the end of the day.  It looks pretty fake, but trust me, my Adobe and paint skills are not that good.  It was fun walking in the downpour, and pretty romantic if I'd say so myself.
Saturday day we tried to meet the guards at the palace.  We did get this fella to smile when so many others tried in vain.  Ba felt bad for the guy who had to stand there all day and get harassed by people like me.
This is the John Lennon hippy wall that created much controversy in Prague.  We wrote a little message ourselves, and felt like we were contributing to history.
Saturday morning we had a tour through the city that started here in the city center.  We saw one girl getting married, and they sure do have a different taste in wedding attire.  The tour was really interesting, and we felt like it was just for us because of our questions, and commentary.  I dont remember the tour guides actual name, but we just called him Vodka.  There were traditional dances going on in the square and it reminded us of Hollywoods version of classic Russian dances.

Getting familiar with Munchen

Ba is getting better at German, and lots of people are telling us maybe for jobs.  We will see how this next week pans out.  We went on a picture scavenger hunt yesterday.  We could recreate the Munchen guide book with much better pictures.  We really are having a riot over here.
Like I said we are having a riot.  FC Bayern the local fussball club was playing Stuttgart.  They are rivals.  Bayern won the game, but another team had to lose to put them on the top.  These are riot police waiting for the train from Stuttgart to arrive.
Here is a super mob of fussball fanatics.  They started singing and chanting so it echoed in the entire Bahnhof.  It was super loud.  The police had all sorts of armor and padding on, it was just fun to be there, and know it was safe because there were over 100 police there.  Plus we were far enough away from the action.  People sure do love soccer.
This was part of our video scavenger hunt.  We have found new joys in taking action pictures at really cool monuments.
Ba is either 260 meters tall or the building she is pointing to is really far away.  We went to Olympic park and enjoyed a little walk around and a climb to the biggest hill in the area.  We had a great view of the whole city.  We want to go back and swim in the Olympic size pool to live Ba's lifelong dream of being an olympic swimmer.  We were going to swim in the lake, but the huge fish would have eaten our toes for sure.
This 3D glasses picture in Deutsches Museum was cool.  If you "put the glasses on" you could read the book, but the whole thing was a flat picture anyway.  It was a hoot.
There were all sorts of puzzles that were very puzzling for Ry.  The kids would have loved it because one block could be put into a circle, square and triangle.  We were entertained for hours at the museum.
This was a lake outside of Munchen called Starnberger See where people obviously loved to sail. We layed on the dock and relaxed.  We were disapointed we didnt bring our swimsuits.  Then again, we are in Europe, and nobody would have looked twice if we were skinny dipping.
This is a little castle made by the fairy tale King Ludwig II.  The only reason we discovered it because Ba had to go to the bathroom very badly.  It was super awesome and we decided we would build a house just like it.
This is Ry being silly on the playground.  They have great play grounds here, but we figured they were all too dangerous to be allowed in the states.
This sports bar by our house always has soccer games and really loud drunken Turks.  It is pretty fun to catch up on sports while we are there.

We love you and have a great day

Hey how are you doing?  We are doing great, thanks for asking.  Actually the job hunt is not going very well, but we are having a grand ol time.  I guess that is how is usually works out. Brianna is already hooked on Pasteries (I was from several years ago) and ice cream.

This is Karlsplatz.  I was tempted to run straight through, but it was late in the day and it would have taken forever to dry off.  People starting from left: Tait..Some random guy that is staying at Tommys house, I did meet him playing soccer at USU once; Some rediculously attractive hunk that bedazles everyone he meats; Ba getting snuggly with her cuddle buddy and looking very beautiful even though the straightner doesnt work; Tommy, Ryans x-mission companion that we hang out with; Katie, Briannas shopping buddy and Tommys wife; a guy sitting on a stone that wasnt supposed to be included in the picture.
This was our first meal out to eat.  We were on Marien Platz at the Doninsel, some of you have eaten there before.  They had a great live band playing traditional Byrisch folk musik.  Ba had some Wienerschnitzel, and I had some meat with knodel.  Mmmm.  While we were there, some lady wanted to clean the bathroom while I was standing at the stall.  I told her to go away, and she thought it was funny that a man was afraid of a woman.  The guy next to me laughed and said that he was afraid of his wife, so I didnt feel too bad.  These Europeans need some morals.
They put some blocks in the river to make this 1.2 meter wave that 10-15 people would take turns surffing on.  There was this "newbie" there and I loved watching him eat it.  One time I wasnt sure if he was going to surface.  Maybe I should pick up surfing while I am over here...
No explination needed except...amazing car...I still dont get sick of saying it.
The trees go on forever in these huge gardens.  It sure does work for a nice afternoon stroll or power nap on the lawn.

We have arived and we are alive, but really tired.  Ba has found a way to take 10min naps, every 10min.  We had a good time just walking around the city.  Tell us what you want to see on our blob to help us make pages.
A glamorous feast on the plane of chicken and peanuts.
Translation:"love your bike".  Nothing could be put more beautifully.
This is the saddest thing I have ever seen.  We just restrained getting ice cream at Lidl (grocery store).  Ba really wants to try Magnum bars but we havent seen any yet.  Probably a good thing for our waist lines.
A neat house in our hood.
Our cozy street.  Ba nearly died because she almost got ran over a few times, but it was in the name of photography, what a way to go.
Our spacious pad 1
Our spacious pad 2
Our spacious pad 3
A stash of boos that we are "more than welcome to enjoy."  Our landlord is cool dont worry.

the longest spass blitz EVER

Why hello there. This is our first entry ever blobbing. Aren't you so proud. We are creating this blob...or is it blot... so those who really love us can follow our European galavanting. We leave Friday morning around 7 am. We will probably be late because not only is it early in the morning, but we are always late. We are tenatively returning to the states August 6. We are pretty stoaked and we will try to keep this thing updated with heaps of pictures. Until our next post Tschuss.
